Who is in charge? The Hinge is organized by an inter-denominational board of leaders within the 7 Mountains in Greenville.
What’s the history of the Hinge? It all began with a vision from some leaders at CrossRoads Community Church in early 2007.
How many churches are a part of the Hinge Ministries Network? There are currently over 60 churches around the Greenville area involved in our Hinge Ministries Network.
Is this movement charismatic? This movement is inter-denominational. We do not highlight the theological nuances of any particular denomination.
How is Hinge Ministries supported financially? Hinge Ministries is supported through the faithful gifts of a handful of churches and donors in Greenville. We are praying for more financial partners. Attendance to the prayer gathering is free of charge.

Hinge Prayer Gatherings
are marked days in Greenville’s history. Whenever God’s
church comes together in unity to whole-heartedly seek His face and intercede for a city, the
results are lives, workplaces, families, and entire regions transformed to the glory of God. The
Hinge is just a part of the rumblings of a massive awakening in Greenville, SC. The success
and spiritual impact of Hinge Prayer Gatherings are immeasurably significant. As the
Hinge and focused corporate intercession in Greenville continues to grow and expand, supernatural
city-wide transformation for the Kingdom of God is inevitable and can be expected.
Greenville, SC has always experienced God's Blessing. Human enterprise has flourished in this city and continues to while it becomes an international hub for global commerce. While Greenville provides much of the globe with industrial fortitude, she is known in the Southeast as a hub for life, rest, and family. Throughout American history Greenville has served as a well-watered land for many people groups. The Cherokee people enjoyed hunting and fishing, while the fontier people settled the Upstate of South Carolina, later to plant a village along the Reedy River. As our city has grown, she has experienced the boom of shops, farms, factories, schools, churches, colleges, and an ever increasing real estate market. Some compare Greenville’s climate, scenery, and natural resources to a paradise. Greenville has experienced times of tragedy, disease, poverty, racial injustice, Civil War and rebuilding. Through periods of strife, corruption, denominational bickering and financial hardship, Greenville once emerged with a heart full of philanthropy, missions, and church growth. In the 1800s, a visionary Vardry McBee and his family donated land for 5 churches that ultimately formed a downtown Cross. The heart of Greenville has and continues to represent morality, integrity and the church. It would appear to the world that Greenville has arrived! A community that has reached it's full potential. However, this city's preferred future is still unfulfilled as church buildings occupy the street corners, while people fail to occupy the seats within. Greenville has more churches than ever before in it's history, yet fewer people are attending than ever before. The Reedy River, once known as a source of life, now serves as a danger to those who swim in it's contaminated waters. These are just 2 of the manifestations that cry out that Greenville is in need of Re (vival).
